Job Description: Fortnum & Mason are looking for an Assistant Product Copywriter to join the Fortnum’s Family! Reporting directly to the Online Copywriter, this is a key role in the Online Trading team that will be responsible for producing engaging product content for our online customers. Working alongside wider Online and Content teams, the successful candidate will also assist in the planning and implementation of SEO metadata, ensuring best practice throughout. The role holder will ultimately support the Online Trading team in increasing user engagement and conversion, resulting in the optimisation of the online customer experience at Fortnum & Mason. Job Responsibilities: Overseeing online product management in Microsoft Dynamics 365 and the integration through to Magento eCommerce Supporting the Online Copywriter in the optimisation of on-site search functionality and results pages, utilising Google Analytics and AI Search Platforms Writing compelling and commercial product copy for Fortnum & Mason online Collaborating with the Online Trading team, as well as our Online Merchandising Coordinator, to ensure product copy and metadata is delivered in sufficient time prior to launch User Acceptance Testing (UAT) of new features in staging environment and live testing in production environment, in accordance with agreed test scenarios. Logging of bugs and issues as user stories so that the development team can resolve efficiently Utilising knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Magento eCommerce to influence decision making and prioritisation of new features, processes and systems to optimise the UX, conversion rates and working efficiencies Assisting in product selection and stock checks for digital communications, ensuring products are aligned with commercial KPIs Preparing for campaign launches and category refreshes, working in HTML and CSS Job Requirements: Minimum of 1 year’s copywriting experience A people-centric character – able to create and maintain excellent stakeholder relationships An impeccable command of the English language – written and oral Sharp, ambitious and self-motivated – possess meticulous attention to detail and effectively manage your own workload in order to meet strict deadlines Experience within an eCommerce, digital marketing, luxury or food retailing, or hospitality marketing environment.
