Job Description: Roads, Drainage and Foreshores Maintenance North and South are seeking to appoint a motivated individual to join the team as Leading Hand - Roads and Drainage.Based at our Carrara Depot, you will work under the general direction of the Supervisor and will form part of a work team that perform specialist tasks associated with the maintenance of Council’s roads and stormwater drainage networks. Job Responsibilities: Performing skilled and specialist tasks associated with the maintenance of Council’s roads, footpath and drainage network. Demonstrated ability to operate minor equipment and machinery associated with various works tasks. Complete various organisational forms. Providing daily supervision in a Leading Hand role to a maintenance crew and coordinating work schedules and time frames with remote supervision Control of public at worksites. Manage work orders in SAP via a mobile device (iPad). Job Requirements: Have a current ‘MR’ class licence and 'Work safely in the construction industry'(White Card) The ability to manage employee issues in accordance with Council’s people management policies and guidelines. You hold a current Certificate III Civil Construction Demonstrated ability to interact with others in a manner conducive to creating a cooperative team environment. Sound physical health to enable incumbent to satisfactorily perform the physically demanding duties of this position. Effective numeracy and literacy skills commensurate with the requirements of the position.
