Job Description:

In your new role, you will carry out mandatory critical stage inspections associated with Construction Certificates and Complying Development Certificates.You will investigate and action Service Requests relating to unauthorised building works and drainage matters, enforce relevant legislation and achieve a positive outcome for the community and environment.

Job Requirements:

• Have a qualification recognised by the NSW Fair Trading for accreditation as a Building Surveyor or NSW Fair Trading accreditation as a Building Inspector
• Assessment and determination of Construction Certificates, Complying Development Certificates, Swimming Pool Compliance Certificates, Bushfire Attack Level Certificates and Building Information Certificates
• Conduct of mandatory critical stage inspections
• Assessment and determination of Service Requests
• Knowledge and application of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act and regulations, Swimming Pools Act and regulations, Building and Development Certifiers Act and Regulations, Australian Standard AS 3959 (Bushfire) and National Construction Code
• Excellent time management, organisational, conflict resolution and negotiation skills
