Job Description:

The role is responsible for championing third party risk management related activities across the Insurance business. It will be responsible for coordinating the implementation of the Group Third Party Risk Management (TPRM) Policy and Framework within Group Insurance.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Represent the Group Insurance Third Party Risk Officer on selected programmes and committees.
  • Maintain HSBC internal control standards, implement and observe Group Compliance Policy and maintain awareness of operational risk and minimize the likelihood of it occurring.
  • Governing the overall adherence to the TPRM Policy and Framework, measuring third party performance against set risk objectives and controls.
  • Ensuring effective relationships with 2&3 LOD and third party risk stakeholders.
  • Providing dedicated support to country third party risk stakeholders such as Third Party Risk Officers and Third Party Engagement Managers.
  • Drive a high performance culture through delivering standards, collaboration and effective people interaction.
  • Providing advice and guidance on the Third Party Risk Management Framework, helping stakeholders in its implementation.

Job Requirements:

  • Sound knowledge of the Group Insurance business.
  • Ability to develop cohesive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Good knowledge of the external environment.
  • Previous experience of positive interaction with Senior Executives across the business and functions globally.
  • Third party risk management experience.
  • Ability and drive to successfully deliver multiple, wide-ranging priorities, often under stringent time pressures.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with an ability to articulate complex issues coherently at varying levels of seniority.
  • Proven ability of organisational planning, resource mobilisation and problem solving.
