Job Description:
The HSBC Custody Asset Services Department is responsible for the processing of corporate actions related to equity and fixed income products through the lifecycle of the corporate event. In addition to the allocation we are responsible for ensuring all details of the event are accurate and reflect market practice. We are responsible for the issuance of announcements with the correct market information for our clients to ensure seamless allocation. The job requires the ability to dedicate full attention to all details regardless of the simplicity. The events include all income processing events and mandatory corporate action event types in a custody environment.
Job Responsibilities:
- Performs according to prescribed procedures.
- Independent decision making abilities while engaging Management at all times
- Must interpret corporate action notices and determine HSBC response
- Must ensure all regulatory requirements are understood and met
- Provide support and guidance to all internal tax related areas with respect to tax related queries.
Job Requirements:
- Requires market knowledge of US corporate action events
- Strong understanding of DTCC’s platform
- Knowledge of Broadridge processing systems a plus
- Strong client service skills
- Knowledge of ISO Swift messaging
- Act as liaison with internal/external business partners
