Job Description: We currently have an exciting opportunity within the Community Centres and Safety Unit for an experienced Community Development Officer. In consultation you will develop, manage, deliver and evaluate a variety of community safety programs to address community need and take part in a range of community engagement initiatives. To be successful you will have tertiary qualifications in Social Sciences or a related field, with a focus on community development or planning Job Requirements: Demonstrated experience of Community Development principles and practices, especially within the areas of community safety and crime prevention. Ability to communicate effectively with other Council departments and a broad range of stakeholders from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
