Job Description:
The Facilities Management Officer will work within the Facilities Management Team to improve and develop facilities management practices in line with the Council objectives.
The position supports all performance based contracts to ensure all facilities are maintained, operational, and statutory obligations met. This position will be responsible for a diverse range of facilities management support to the Council operations through the delivery of facilities management solutions that align with service contract expectations.
The position assists the Facilities and Infrastructure Manager in the day to day management of the portfolio
Job Requirements:
- Ability to contribute in a team environment
- High level verbal, written communication and time management skills.
- Proficient in the use of computers and Microsoft Office software(Word, Excel, Project)
- Ability to demonstrate and display City of Melbourne Values – accountability, integrity, courage, respect for self and others, and striving for excellence
Qualification & Experience:
- A relevant tertiary qualification in facilities management or working towards or equivalent relevant experience in a related field such as building construction and/or project management.
- Proven experience in performance based contracts for a complex building environment and a multi-discipline operational team.
- A proven ability to write project briefs, technical reports and prepare project specifications on time and to budget.
- Proven experience managing client requirements and relationship with a diverse stakeholder group, whilst creating quality service delivery culture.
