Job Description:
Lead and develop the digital innovation capability to explores how new services and technologies can be applied to the city’s purposes in service delivery and social and economic outcomes as established in the Sustainable Sydney 2030 Community strategicplan, the Digital Strategy and associated sub documents.
Job Responsibilities:
- Define, develop and execute the City’s Digital Innovation processes and program
- Keep abreast of techniques and trends in the digital innovation field globally and locally.
- Develop, promulgate and oversee a process to identify and prioritise opportunities explored through the program.
- Ensure procedures are developed and documented for the delivery of innovation projects and challenges
Job Requirements:
- Impactful and engaging communication and presentation skills to liaise effectively with innovation and tech start-up communities and providers, executive level stakeholders and project teams.
- Business acumen for problem definition, project impact analysis and development of entrepreneurial market engagement and co-creation strategies.
- Strong knowledge of contemporary and emerging ICT and data analytic technologies.
- Strong people management skills to manage diverse teams working in non-traditional ways.
- Studies and qualifications in design thinking, human centred design and prototyping methodologies well regarded.
Qualification & Experience:
- Extensive experience leading a digital innovation activities delivering innovation challenges/projects/sprints in a substantial organisation and/or tertiary qualifications with minimum bachelor’s degree in computer science/engineering.
- Experience with non-traditional procurement/engagement for co-creation under MOU or other relevant instrument.
