Job Description: This position is responsible for the delivery of on ground environmental restoration and maintenance services as well as the operation and maintenance of plant and equipment such as chainsaws, spray equipment and bush cutters. You will identify and control weeds in accordance with Permits issued by Australian Pesticides and Veterinary Medicines Authority, Flora base City practices and relevant safety data sheets, and work in a safety conscious manner Job Requirements: The successful person will have the ability to work cooperatively and effectively with others to achieve common goals as well as having substantial experience in the environmental management field. A high level of safety knowledge is essential and you must be able to implement this into daily tasks. You will be passionate about the natural environment, with excellent flora identification skills. It is imperative that you hold a relevant Tertiary Qualification in Environmental Science or Conservation (University or Tafe), have had formal training in pesticide use, and possess a WA White Card, current first aid certificate and current C class licence. You must also have, or have the ability to obtain, a Working with Children Clearance.
