Job Description:

We currently have opportunities for Family Support and Parenting Practitioners to join a growing team of dynamic and motivated individuals providing innovative, family centred services.

Cardinia Shire Council is a growing municipality located in the South East growth corridor of the Melbourne metropolitan area. We welcome applications from individuals with relevant qualifications in Early Childhood Development and experience in Maternal and Child Health or an Early Childhood Setting, who are seeking to join a growing team of dynamic and motivated individuals providing innovative, family centred services. Our service is comprised of a dedicated Home Visiting team, a Key Ages and Stages Outreach at Home program, as well as the Enhanced MCH program, the Universal MCH team, and Smalltalk Supported Playgroups program. This team also enjoys the benefits of a highly supportive admin team, and is currently implementing a Sleep and Settling Program.

• Demonstrated experience working with clients experiencing vulnerability
• The ability to work well within a multidisciplinary team
• The ability to work with families in their home
• Experience working in the Maternal & Child Health service and / or early years sector
• A solid understanding of early childhood health, development and behaviour, and the multiple factors impacting this
• Current Working with Children’s Check
• Current driver’s license and have access to own vehicle (council owned vehicles are used the majority of the time)
• Sound understanding of the principles and practice around diversity and inclusive services
• Commitment to quality customer service and improvement
