Job Description:
As the Prosecutions Project Support Officer, you will be responsible for supporting the Prosecutions Project Officer to deliver the ‘Habitual Offenders Program’ – an ongoing program of activity to manage debt collection and the court lodgement process of individuals with multiple outstanding parking infringement notices. In addition, you will be required to support other work completed by the Prosecutions team as the need arises.
Working closely with members of the Prosecutions, Information Business Services and Finance teams, you will provide a high level of internal and external customer service delivery. To be successful in this role you will have a track record of demonstrating and performing with a high level of attention to detail, good time management, initiative and independence
Job Requirements:
- Ability to demonstrate and display City of Melbourne Values – accountability, integrity, courage, respect for self and others, and striving for excellence.
- Understanding and familiarity with the Magistrates’ Court processes, procedures and legislative requirements, or the ability to quickly develop the knowledge required.
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation and influencing skills.
- Demonstrated skills in conflict resolution and the ability to remain calm, objective and in control when dealing with customer issues and concerns.
- Proven skills in written communication, including ability to produce quality documentation and reports.
- Ability to demonstrate initiative and independence, to establish own priorities with limited direction and supervision.
Qualification & Experience:
- Intermediate computer skills including ability to use the Microsoft Office range, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
