Job Description:
As the Senior International Business Coordinator, you will be responsible for the design, implementation and ongoing delivery of projects and services that contribute to Melbourne’s global partnerships.
You will be undertaking quantitative and qualitative analysis to identify global trends, risks and opportunities as relevant to Melbourne’s context, managing Melbourne’s overseas representative office within rigorous governance and reporting frameworks, leading the development of a suite of mechanisms to report on and measure performance and outcomes of international projects and programs to internal Council as well as external audiences.

- Analytical and conceptual skills: highly developed analytical and conceptual skills, and demonstrated ability to develop strategic analytical frameworks to address complex issues and navigate through problems.
- Research and insights: Work collaboratively with the broader team to identify information needs, understand and map data requirements. Lead research projects that distil and integrate information from international market/business intelligence and relevant economic datasets, to identify current and emerging global trends and insights relevant to Melbourne context and ultimately inform strategic and operational opportunities.
- Demonstrated experience in meeting corporate requirements such as operational and business planning, budget planning and risk reporting.
- Demonstrated political acumen and astuteness in a complex and international business and local government environment
Qualification & Experience:
- Relevant Tertiary Degree in international business, economics or other related discipline, and/or extensive relevant industry experience in the areas of international business and data analytics
- Governance, evaluation and reporting: Demonstrated experience in developing and managing complex multi-faceted programs aligned with overall strategy and within rigorous policy, risk, governance and reporting frameworks. Evaluate the performance of initiatives and report on outcomes. Working collaboratively with the broader team to drive the development and continuous improvement of a suite of evaluation mechanisms to measure business performance and drive strategic decision making. Previous experience of Government report writing will make you an ideal candidate.
- Highly developed communication skills: effective communication with internal and external stakeholders. Demonstrated experience in preparation of briefs and reports based on robust data analysis. Drive the development and continuous improvement of a comprehensive suite of international marketing collateral, to meet diverse audience needs.
