Job Description:

The Kalgoorlie Golf Course are currently seeking a full-time Food and Beverage Coordinator who will oversee the Events to join our team. The role will report to the Golf Course Coordinator and deliver an excellent guest experience in a fast ­paced environment.
The successful candidate will have a high level of customer service experience. They will have the ability to work in a team environment and must be self-motivated to work unsupervised.
The City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder complies with all State Government Health directives related to COVID-19 mandatory vaccination of critical workers in WA. It is a requirement for the successful applicant to be double dose vaccinated and provide evidence of vaccination status prior to offer of employment

Job Responsibilities:

  • Forecast, plan and manage all event, function, food and beverage requirements simultaneously;
  • Create a welcoming atmosphere and memorable experience for all clientele;
  • Ensure quality customer service and satisfaction, through the food, beverage and entertainment experience and the quality and standard of customer service;
  • Ensure a cost effective approach to Menu design, focusing on fresh food, simple menus which are costed to industry standard;
  • Supervision and development of all event, food and beverage staff;
  • Prepare rosters and ensure adequate coverage for all functions and Corporate days;
  • Ensure stock levels are adequate for food, beverage and functions;
  • Front of house experience and cash handling;
  • Demonstrate safe working practices in accordanc

Job Requirements:

  • An understanding of stock control & ordering processes
  • Proven problem solving, organisational and time management skills
  • Holder of current Responsible Service of Alcohol Certificate (RSA)
  •  Proven supervisory experience and demonstrated ability to manage multiple deadlines and delegate tasks
  • Strong team player and team mentor with proven ability to work autonomously with initiative, forward thinking and capacity to solve problems and make decisions;
  • Excellent communication skills, negotiation and conflict resolution skills and interpersonal skills including ability to liaise effectively and confidently with internal an
  • external customers;

Qualification & Experience:

  • Previous experience in the hospitality industry
  • Proven experience in the coordination and organization of large functions
  • Demonstrated experience in managing a departmental budget
