Job Description:

The Manager – Logistics (Regional) is responsible for controlling costs and supporting continuous improvements to productivity and systems within the warehouse. The Regional Logistics Manager is expected to set and achieve targets and cost positions while ensuring on time service to the store network.

Job Responsibilities:

• Ensure all health & safety standards are adhered to and positively followed
• Minimize costs and increase efficiencies where possible
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Support to all functions within the department
• Supervise, manage, and direct a team of one or more employees
• Manage, coach, and train members of the workforce
• Direct oversight and control of department
• Oversee warehouse management system to ensure on time delivery
• Reduce costs and provide high level of service
• Provide all training materials and ensure that all team members fully comply with relevant training
• Approve all Standard Operating Procedures for assigned area of responsibility
• Maintain results, analyze and assess performance and implement improvements
• Ensure accurate receiving, picking, and shipping of stock

Job Requirements:

• Ability to manage and control multiple projects and tasks with tight time deadlines
• Excellent oral and written communication and people management skills
• Bachelor’s degree
• Excellent analytical, problem solving and organizational skills
• In lieu of degree, 7+ years of experience in related field will meet the educations and related experience requirements
• Knowledge of business practices
• Knowledge of warehousing and warehousing systems, logistics, and supply chain
• Overall process of receiving selecting and shipping goods via a road transport network
• 3 – 5 years of experience
