Job Description: The Principal Development Engineer is responsible for providing professional engineering assessment services to Council, industry and the general public across a broad range of development matters. Under limited direction, the Principal Development Engineer undertakes assessment of the engineering components of complex and regionally significant development applications. The position is responsible for ensuring the timely processing of applications, consistency, and quality of Council's donated assets. This position will lead and manage a team and provide specialist technical advice relating to Development Engineering. Job Requirements: You will hold tertiary qualifications (Degree/Associated Degree) in Engineering or related field. Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ) Member or willing to work towards. Qualification & Experience: Extensive experience in Civil Engineering including assessment and review. Previous Experience in leading and managing a small team. Substantial experience developing and maintaining effective working relationships. Significant experience in the construction industry and/or working with construction related processes.
