Job Responsibilities: Identifying opportunities to leverage the City’s current public open space, infrastructure and community facilities to attract new events and recreational activities Working with the Coordinator, Festivals & Events and other City staff to plan major festivals, events and recreational activities that have local appeal and extend opportunities for social and economic development Liaising with external organisations to develop opportunities to host new events within the City of Mandurah. Assisting in the creation, planning, coordination and delivery of festivals and events. Job Requirements: Developed interpersonal and verbal communication skills, including listening, problem solving and conflict resolution skills Demonstrated ability to manage conflicting priorities and time management skills Ability to remain calm in a stressful environment Strong report writing skills A degree or qualification relevant to the role Substantial experience in major event management or similar discipline.
