Job Requirements: Ability to design and implement business systems, policies and procedures to improve organisational asset management capacity. Working knowledge of Local Government budget preparation and implementation procedures Developed understanding of the Local Government Act, Australian Standards and other legislative requirements. High level leadership and coordination skills. Current unrestricted ‘C’ class motor vehicle licence. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Report writing and presentation ability. Ability to work across diverse service areas. Ability to initiate and manage change within a complex organisational environment. High level organisational and project management ability. High level negotiation and consultation skills. Qualification & Experience: Experience in carrying out detailed engineering investigations, designs and estimates for civil infrastructure and traffic management projects. Developed knowledge and experience in design and project management of traffic management and municipal infrastructure projects including road, drainage, car parks, footpaths and street lighting. Experience in leading and managing a team consisting of technical and engineering staff to deliver civil infrastructure capital works projects. Degree in Civil Engineering (or similar) with at least five (5) years of relevant experience. Experience in interpreting and applying civil engineering design and construction specifications and standards Experience in CAD and GIS packages such as AutoCAD, QGIS or similar software.
