Job Description:

The Portfolio Coordinator is responsible for providing administrative oversight, portfolio management and strategic alignment across end-to-end delivery of key product and project reporting deliverables. The role is accountable for managing all organisational reporting duties for City Data, including audit, risk, capital program, OHS and human resources reports, as well as the management of ELT and Councillor Forum forward planner.

Job Requirements:

  • Experience in agile delivery, with the ability to work in agile environment to develop the artefacts required for large projects.
  • Demonstrated strong analytical and problem solving capabilities, with project evaluation skill and the ability to generate appropriate and creative solutions in a complex environment.
  • Proficient skills in Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Project Online, Project Server, MS SharePoint, MS Project Professional and/or MS Visio.
  • Certification in Project Management or Project Administration, with practical knowledge of project management approaches, tools and project cycle phases.
  • Ability to demonstrate and display City of Melbourne Values – accountability, integrity, courage, respect for self and others, and striving for excellence
  • Strong written and oral communication skills including the capacity to liaise effectively, and the ability to build and manage productive working relationship with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated experience working within a large complex IT PMO and business transformation projects.
  • Demonstrated strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage competing deadlines on a tight time frame.

Qualification & Experience:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification in business administration or project management, or demonstrated relevant, equivalent professional experience in program coordination.
  • Demonstrated experience working within a large complex IT PMO and business transformation projects.
  • Experience in agile delivery, with the ability to work in agile environment to develop the artefacts required for large projects.
  • Strong experience in drafting briefing papers and report writing.
