Job Description:
An opportunity has arisen for a knowledgeable and self-motivated person to assume the role of Social Research Officer in an exciting and rapidly changing environment. Reporting to the Coordinator, you will be a key member of the Social Planning and Wellbeing team. The Social Research Officer will help create a vibrant, safe, and liveable City accessible to all, through their expertise and knowledge of primary and secondary data sources, proficiency for quantitative analysis and strong stakeholder management skills.
Job Responsibilities:
- Deliver social research projects to assist in identifying community needs, emerging issues, and appropriate responses.
- Manage and develop social and demographic resources, including the delivery of training to build organisational capacity in social research.
- Translate and communicate emerging social research information in a timely manner to internal and external stakeholders
Job Requirements:
- Tertiary qualification in social sciences, statistics, health sciences, planning sciences or other relevant area and/or substantial relevant experience working in social research.
- Knowledge of the range of data sources and relevant software (inc databases/platforms).
- Excellent communication skills and ability to adapt communication as required.
- Stakeholder engagement and management skills.
- Experience in undertaking quantitative, qualitative, and statistical research and analysis.
