Job Description:
As a Spacecraft Systems Lead for the Commercial Crew Program Spacecraft Office, you will be responsible for providing leadership and subject matter expertise in your assigned system. You will be responsible for leading a matrixed team of program stakeholders and the commercial provider and bringing to closure all requirements, hazards, risks, and issues associated with your system. You will support real time operations and provide insight/oversight of your assigned system.
Job Requirements:
- In addition to the Basic Education Requirement (in the Education section below), to qualify for this position you must meet the requirements below and have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade, which has equipped you with the particular competencies needed to successfully perform the duties of the position described above.
- To qualify for GS-14, you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level that includes each of the following: Subject matter expertise and leadership in one or more human spacecraft systems development, testing, production and operations; Leading a diverse group of stakeholders to identify and bring a large volume of complex technical issues to closure in a timely manner; and Communicating complex technical issues in a clear and concise manner both verbally and written.
