Job Description:
We’re looking for a Senior Volunteering & Community Officer to join our team here at the National Trust in North Warwickshire. We are committed to making our places welcoming to everyone and we want to find the right person to help us build our work with different volunteers and communities to realise this vision.
Job Responsibilities:
- Your advice and support to teams will be critical, providing strategic and everyday guidance and development to those who directly line manage volunteer teams.
- You will lead the strategic development of volunteering in North Warwickshire including increasing and improving opportunities for volunteer engagement, deepening relationships, and developing new and existing skills.
- Reporting directly to the General Manager, you will advise and work alongside both the Portfolio Senior
- Leadership and Property Leadership teams to deliver our strategic ambitions, of which you will be directly helping to develop.
- Working with the portfolio team, you will develop new ways of working, new offers and improve the experience for current volunteers, finding new ways to use their time and diverse talents as we emerge from the pandemic.
Job Requirements:
- Determination to champion community partnership internally and enable everyone to play their part in community partnership working.
- Great communication and coaching skills, strong leadership and a passion for making a difference.
- Experience of delivering effective and meaningful consultations with communities.
- Proven track record of delivering successful community engagement and long-term partnerships.
- Passion and enthusiasm about the benefits of great volunteer involvement and the importance of involving our supporters in our cause.
- Proven track record of working alongside or directly managing teams of volunteers.
