Job Description:

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Communications and Marketing person who is passionate about the joy of blossom, the history of urban places and sharing the stories of the National Trust.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Copy writing – website articles (Birmingham and Coventry Blossom projects)
  • Support with Birmingham Blossom launch media outreach (arranging interviews with spokespeople; providing journalists with media assets etc.)
  • Copy writing – Reach Plc partnership article (WT lead partnership where we provide editorial in exchange for free day passes)
  • Social media content plan and copy – daily posts for Birmingham channels; weekly for Regional channels during the periods of core activity
  • Copy writing – local press releases (post-launch Birmingham Blossom; Roundhouse visit driving; Back to Backs new programming)
  • Support with marketing needs for Birmingham and Blossom projects – e.g. advertising packages; printing materials

Job Requirements:

  • Excellent digital and social media skills
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A good understanding of marketing techniques, including websites as well as digital and social media
  • Advanced IT Skills (including Microsoft Office)
  • Problem solving skills, and ability to work on own initiative verbal
