Job Description:

Design and develop new ranges across nursery / kids furniture & hard accessories, taking responsibility for everything from design concept through to technical development, initial samples and product selection.

Job Responsibilities:

• Designing to different customer tastes and styles
• Researching, visiting trade fairs, inspirational travel(when appropriate)
• Designing products within the parameters of price architecture, margins & technical constraints
• Responsible for identifying key trends for nursery / kids furniture & hard accessories
• Working closely with the buying and merchandising teams to support the design process from planning and designing new ranges through to product selection.
• Designing unique exciting products that will surprise and delight our customers
• Working closely with the kids textile designers to create complimentary solutions for kids rooms
• Liaise with suppliers on design, product and development ensuring that products match initial design specification.

Job Requirements:

• Proven experience of kids furniture design and development preferably gained in a fast paced commercial environment.
• Highly creative with a real vision for the design of kids furniture and hard accessories.
