Talent development is a primary function of the Director role Cultivate alignment with internal project teams and MHE/Robotics vendors to identify, assess, test, and implement flexible and scalable solutions that align with DC design requirements Develop positive relationships across different functions in the matrix organization Drive collaboration and oversight with internal business partners and external vendors in the execution of system startup activities including installation, commissioning, and performance testing Provide leadership & strategic direction to the MHE design and development of physical fulfillment systems within Nike NA Logistics Direct the design and implementation of engineering solutions that ensure product flow through distribution facilities and human/machine efficiency throughout the Nike’s NA supply chain Provide leadership, oversight and technical expertise to the identification, development and coordination of MHE/robotics design and innovation efforts to develop efficient solutions for the distribution and fulfillment networks through material flow, process design, site layout and equipment specification Provides technical leadership and expertise for large-scale engineering projects Provide leadership, oversight and technical expertise to the cost/benefit analyses and recommendations for capital investment to specific DC design requirements Coordinate with internal partners in the development of RFP (Request for Proposal), scope of work and functional specifications leading to an AR (Appropriation Request) approvals. Job Requirements: Ability to review/validate analytical data and determine best course of action Master’s degree in Engineering, Operations, Business Administration, or a related field preferred Design, project realization and operation experience with automated material handling equipment, preferably high-speed conveyance, automated sortation systems, case level ASRS, shuttle systems, automated packaging equipment, goods to person picking systems and robotics systems Experience with WMS, AutoCAD Skilled in process design based on LEAN Principles Previous experience in Distribution Center Operations Management (DC Ops or Logistics engineering) Experience in Strategic Business Planning Experience with control systems, PLC & simulation software preferred 10+ years proven experience in logistics engineering or related occupation of Industrial Engineer, Process Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer Proficient in evaluating, analyzing and interpreting complex statistical data to influence strategic decision making Experience with direct P&L accountability Experience in leading teams remotely Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (any discipline) OR a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience and training 4+ years of experience managing a successful team of engineers Experience must involve technical leadership for large-scale engineering projects including responsibility for managing MHE vendors, budgets, schedules, and functional/volume/user acceptance tests Job Details: Company: Nike Vacancy Type: Full Time Job Location: Memphis, TN, US Application Deadline: N/A Apply Here careers-trivia.com
