Job Description:

With a great remuneration package and work-from-home flexibility on offer, the Senior Strategic Planner is responsible for contributing to the planning and delivery of Council’s strategic land use planning and development outcomes. In this role, you will be providing expert advice in relation to land use planning, policy and statutory planning processes and provisions as they relate to the Shire’s vision and strategic directions. You will provide effective technical knowledge regarding strategic planning on key land use management and development issues.

Job Responsibilities:

• Demonstrating excellence in project management
• Preparing and processing planning scheme amendments
• Developing and implementing policies, plans and strategies which influence urban and rural land use, urban design and development
• Responding to strategic planning issues
• Representing Council at independent planning panels and other forums
• Effectively engaging with the community to ensure diverse views are considered and represented
