Job Description:
This exciting opportunity is a permanent full-time role that is suited to a mid-level marketer who is able to establish, guide and build the strategic positioning of the City of Parramatta within the visitor, business and local community.The Marketing & Communications Officer is a driven individual with the proven experience in developing and driving marketing and communications initiatives designed to make Parramatta a destination of choice and will possess exceptional project management skills and experience.
Job Responsibilities:
- Broaden people’s awareness of Parramatta as a destination to work, live, invest and study
- Support the marketing and communications team to implement campaigns on a project basi
- Implement tactical and operational marketing, communications, promotions and branding initiatives with internal and external stakeholders to achieve strategic marketing objective
- Cross functionally designing, coordinating, and delivering strategic visitor, events and investor marketing, and communications for the City that actively reach and target identified market segments to increase visitor numbers, length of stay and visitor spend
- Ensure that all practices are up to date with current and pertinent legislation, statutory regulations and better practice to ensure a subject-matter-expert mindset is adopted and promoted to all stakeholders.
Job Requirements:
- Ability to develop and implement acquisition and retention marketing, promotion and communication campaigns and initiatives.
- Tertiary qualifications in marketing, communications, or other related field
- Experience working on marketing and promotional campaigns for major events and/or festivals
