Job Description: Pembina’s Technical Services Unit (TSU) is currently seeking a Specialist, Cathodic Protection for a 6 month-term. On behalf of Pembina’s Business Units (BUs), TSU manages a comprehensive integrity management program, which includes facility integrity, pipeline integrity, technical services, geotechnical, Project Management Office (PMO) and Safety Security and Emergency Response. As a key contributing member of the team, the Cathodic Protection Specialist is responsible for managing the overall Cathodic protection program on Pembina’s systems. The role of the Technical Services Unit (TSU) is to provide technical expertise and consistency across all of Pembina’s Business Units which involves the development and governance of standards, specifications and procedures. TSU works in conjunction with other Service Units to support the business objectives and operational requirements of the Business Units. Job Responsibilities: Annual budgeting and long-range planning; and Data analysis and review during and after survey execution; Program and survey technical analysis and reporting. Monthly rectifier surveillance data review; KPI development and tracking; Bi-monthly critical bond surveillance data review; Data quality management during survey execution; Planning, coordination, and oversight of annual CP surveys, including participation in survey execution; Cathodic protection design review, support, and optimization (operations and capital projects); Deficiency identification, tracking, and repair; Advanced survey scope definition, coordination, oversight, and review; Conduct survey review meetings with vendors and operations; AC Interference Mitigation design review, support, and optimization (operations and capital projects); Job Requirements: Willing to travel throughout Pembina’s pipeline asset locations (approximately 15%); and Valid Alberta Class 5 driver’s license.
