Job Responsibilities:
- Define and drive automation of Cloud infrastructure provisioning and configuration management, self-service, Infrastructure-as-Code services, Auto Scale initiatives, and DevOps deployment and drive cloud strategy to move towards PaaS, and SaaS models
- Leading design of enterprise class solutions using object-oriented analysis, design patterns, UML, service-oriented architecture, and solution frameworks
- The most suitable candidate for this position will have a technical background with strong analytical, planning, problem solving, writing and presentation skills and one who can communicate effectively with management, peers, technology vendors and business unit customers.
- Leading critical efforts to develop and support complex systems and initiatives
- Promoting a culture of software craftmanship and automated testing
- Leading the technical effort to design and implement technology solutions that consider system performance, usability, and scalability
Job Requirements:
- Experience with a container orchestration system like Kubernetes, Red Hat OpenShift
- Ability to quickly learn new technologies and develop Proof of Concepts (POCs)
- Experience planning and managing all activities associated with delivering solutions in a large-scale distributed internet facing environment
- Experience with cloud technologies from at least one public cloud provider (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud)
- Familiar with observability and monitoring tools like Splunk, Datadog, Prometheus
- Minimum of 7 years’ experience coding in an object-oriented programming language such as C# or Java
- Experience with event-based and micro-service style architecture
- Experience with Docker or other containerization technologies
- Minimum of 7 years’ experience designing, developing, and supporting applications in an enterprise environment
- Demonstrate a passion for coding standards, best practices, problem solving, unit testing, and learning new skills
- Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs
- Must have excellent communication skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or other analytical discipline or equivalent experience
- Strong technical understanding of data modeling concepts
- Minimum of five years’ experience with a relational database (MS SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle, etc.)
- Be able to work with minimal supervision within a large corporate environment
- Understanding of Software Development Lifecycles (SDLC)
- Experience with Cloud-Native application development
- Minimum of 7 years’ experience analyzing and translating business requirements into technology solutions that consider system performance, usability, quality, cross-system interdependencies, scalability, and total cost of ownership
- Experience with Agile and Scrum Development methodologies, writing Agile Stories, and maintaining a product backlog
- Experience with responsive web application design and development
- Experience with source control tools, such as Git
- Experience with integration with external web services
- Ability to work concurrently on multiple assignments with similar deadlines
