Publix Job Application – Transportation Shipment Planner

Job Responsibilities:

• responsible for utilizing Publix Transportation Management System (TMS) tools to analyze purchase orders, execute the order consolidation process and perform manual shipment builds in order to create cost effective full truck load shipments that will arrive at the delivery location on the requested date including creating filters, constructing efficient shipments from that cannot be optimized through TMS, analyzing results to validate shipments meet criteria, negotiating with buyers and suppliers to adjust pickup or deliver dates, analyzing purchase orders that do not meet shipment criteria and determining solutions based on business requests and unique situations.
• responsible for analyzing KPIs and addressing issues to drive continuous improvement.
