Job Description:

You are an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual who understands the ethos of community capacity building in relation to the development and implementation of targeted community programs. You possess strong written and verbal communication skills which enables you to develop partnerships and communicate with people across a diverse range of needs and backgrounds.

Job Responsibilities:

• Research, design, coordinate and evaluate innovative community safety and wellbeing projects in line with relevant strategies and plans.
• Guide, support and assist community groups, organisations and individuals to build their capacity and resilience through the provision of training, resources, programs and services relating to community safety, crime prevention, community connection and wellbeing
• Identify and foster appropriate partnerships with key internal and external stakeholders that lead to sustainable relationships to enhance community safety and wellbeing.

Job Requirements:

• Current C class drivers licence.
• Working with children check
• Sound knowledge of Community Development / Crime Prevention / Capacity Building principles, theory and practice
• High level of communication and networking skills including the ability to build and maintain internal and external relationships/

Qualification & Experience:

• Degree in Community Development, Social Science or related field and/or relevant experience in Community Development or related field.
• Sound experience of event management and delivery.
