Job Description:

This position draws on your significant background in compliance, enforcement and court procedures.  Responsible for leading and supporting the Appeals team you will also conduct quality reviews of draft prosecution briefs to recommend, and action, appropriate prosecution outcomes to the City’s General Counsel.  In addition to providing excellent leadership to your Appeals team through mentoring and coaching, you will also support the development of appropriate investigation and evidentiary reporting throughout the Compliance and Emergency Liaison team, and across the organisation

Job Responsibilities:

This position is based in the Compliance and Emergency Liaison team which is responsible for the enforcement of laws within the jurisdictional area of the City of Rockingham and supporting attainment of the City’s Strategic Community Plan aspirations.

Job Requirements:

  • Considerable experience in conducting prosecutions at trial.
  • Considerable ability and experience managing and preparing cases for court hearings.
  • Ability to conduct formal educational presentations and training relevant to investigation and court brief preparation.
  • Extensive skills knowledge and experience in compliance/enforcement investigations.
  • Thorough knowledge and ability to interpret relevant Acts, Regulations, local laws, policies and procedures.
  • Highly developed ability to develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
