Job Description:

Working in the heartbeat of the operation, the team of flow room system managers will be responsible for ensuring the smooth flow of parcels through the automated parcel sorting system (APSS) using the warehouse management systems (WMS), CCTV and YMS so that operational KPIs and business SLAs are achieved. The role holder will be the conduit between warehouse operations and the engineering team, co-ordinating engineers to faults and blockages, maximising the APSS availability though coordinating and leading Continuous Improvement activities with senior stakeholders

Job Requirements:

• Adaptable and receptive to new ideas from any source. Willing and able to adjust to changing demands and circumstances.
• Experience of designing and maintaining system and flow/control room processes
• Experience working with SCADA & WMS
• Team management, including the management of teams that operate 24/7
• Independent, self-reliant, enthusiastic, and determined. The job holder will need to demonstrate tenacity and the capacity for sustained effort and hard work over extended periods
• Proven leadership experience working in a fast-paced environment, managing a team of skilled managers in a Flow Room logistics environment
• Ability to translate technical information to a non technical audience
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced automated environment
• Skilled and intuitive in identifying solutions to problems. Uses the expertise, skills and experience of others as appropriate
• Good understanding of C.I principles
• Strong Excel & Microsoft skills
• Strong data analytic skills
• Experience of working in a flow / control room environment or an automated processing facility.
