Are you passionate about industrial projects, teamwork, and positive relationships? As a Senior Estimator, you will be part of a dynamic and integrated team located in Edmonton. Under the supervision of the Manager of Project Controls, the incumbent will be responsible for all Cost Estimating projects for the Edmonton Refinery within Suncor.

Job Responsibilities:

• Normal working hours are 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Job Requirements:

• Proficiency in civil, structural, piping, equipment, electrical, I&C and EHT disciplines
• Demonstrated skills as a self-starter, able to work with minimal supervision
• 10+ years related experience or appropriate combination of education and experience in preparing cost estimates for large projects
• A Technical diploma or University degree
• Working knowledge in Aspen-tech (k-Base) estimating programs, ability to develop estimates in Aspen-Tech
• Exceptional analytical, are results oriented and keen priority management skills
• Alignment with our values safety above all else, stronger together, operational discipline, curiosity and lifelong learning, and act with integrity
• Experience in project management, cost control and/or project planning
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, challenging demands and function positively in a dynamic, collaborative work environment.
• Knowledge of ERP software (preference for SAP) and proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
• Refinery and Industrial site experience considered an asset
• Ability to provide personal and technical mentorship to junior staff members & extended teams
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential
• Relevant accreditations in estimating, project management, cost control and/or project planning (AACE)
