Job Description:

The MU Logistics Lead is responsible for the end to end finished goods logistics in the Americas Management Unit (MU). This includes managing 3rd party logistics providers (3PLP) as well as managing primary transport, secondary transport and warehousing logistics operations across the geography, ensuring service to customers and delivering year on year improvements and cost savings via your team located across several countries. You will be responsible to lead and develop the logistics team within the MU to support the growth ambition of the company. The Logistics Lead will as well be responsible for the smooth transition from a Unilever Operation (under TSA) into the TeaCo independent operation. This includes the design and planning of future network changes as well as contract/ 3rd PLP changes.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Drive service to customers (warehousing and secondary transport) in coordination with Customer Service and Supply & Demand Planning teams.
  • Drive sustainability within logistics in the MU
  • Build and develop a logistics team in the MU to ensure business continuity after Unilever demerger as well as talent retention, attraction and succession planning.
  • Support customer engagements with Country SC and Customer Service management to create value and build relationships with the trade, including value creation capabilities from logistics
  • Manage relationships with 3PLs in the countries
  • Drive Logistics operational costs measured as %TO at least flat regardless of volume, through efficiency, network optimizations, innovative ways of working across the transport and warehousing space

Job Requirements:

  • 7-10 years of relevant Supply Chain and/or Logistics experience in FMCG or other relevant industry (Retailer or 3PL environment)
  • Highly adaptable and entrepreneurial
  • Bachelor’s Degree, ideally in Science, Engineering, Economics or other field
  • Management style that encompasses setting tough goals and finding solutions to achieve them
  • Experience building and managing teams, ideally cross-country & virtual Teams
  • Ability to quickly move between large scale strategic decision making and deploying tactical resources to solve short-term supply chain challenges
