Job Description:
This position is located with the Forest Service, State and Private Forestry organization and serves as the primary focal point and liaison for all administrative issues for the Forest Service, National Wildfire Coordinating Group.
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform administrative and/or analytical duties on matters related to policies and procedures to assist higher level management in decision making.
- Conduct administrative and clerical process studies to identify and analyze organizational issues, problems, or situations with proposed solutions.
- Use different processes and methods to perform comprehensive analysis to gather information and make recommendations to leadership.
- Perform technical automated functions to access personnel data and run data needed to produce reports for analysis for leadership and other staff members.
- Maintain a working relationship with staff members and officials of a unit to foster teamwork.
- Present and/or discuss a range of subjects on changes in support services to implement approved policies and/or directives.
- Establish and maintain a cooperative work relationship with the staff to provide or obtain information and/or services.
- Provide information or advice to plan and coordinate work of the organization served.
- Prepare reports, briefing packages or similar presentation materials from analysis and studies completed.
- Design and prepare complex charts for briefings and/or conferences.
- Assist senior personnel in the preparation of draft or final written documents to communicate ideas, goals, policies, analysis, and/or direction.
