Job Description: Dental Assistants perform assigned selected procedures with some independence and some complex patient procedures are performed under indirect supervision of more experienced dental assistants or dental supervisor. The dental assistant assists the dentist in many aspects of direct patient care and performs other clinical and clerical functions independently of direct supervision. Job Responsibilities: Maintain dental equipment in a clean and operative condition Complete mandatory annual safety training sessions Record dental images using x-ray equipment Assist in routine general dental procedures Assist dentist and hygienist in charting findings and treatment plans in patient records Monitor patient condition during treatment, being alert for signs of physical distress Construct custom impression trays Maintain patient confidentiality per HIPAA with written and verbal information Job Requirements: Must be proficient in written and spoken English You may be required to serve a probationary period Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959 Subject to a background/security investigation Designated and/or random drug testing may be required You must be a U.S. Citizen to apply for this job Selected applicants will be required to complete an online onboarding process Qualification & Experience: At least 1 year of experience equivalent to the next lower grade level.
