Job Description: Council is seeking reliable motivated Community Care Workers to join our Aged & Community Care Team on a casual basis initially, with the potential for transition to permanent part time employment.You must be genuine and passionate about working in aged care to support aged clients in their home by providing domestic assistance, personal care, social support and respite which may involve some outside of normal hours work, including weekends and public holidays. As this position is casual, the hours of work will vary initially. Job Responsibilities: Provide a range of personal care tasks based on the individual's assessed \needs, which assist individuals to remain living independently in their own home. Undertake respite care based on the individual's assessed needs, which provides support and assistance to the regular carer. Undertake a range of domestic support tasks based on assessed needs of the individual as determined by the agreed Service Plan, which enables service users to remain living independently in their own home. Encourage individuals to maintain and increase skill levels based on their care plans using an active service approach. Provide appropriate support and assistance while monitoring the wellbeing and ongoing morale of the service user and, where appropriate, their carer. Follow organisational procedures to take appropriate action in any emergency situation. Monitor and accurately report all matters affecting service users' wellbeing to coordination staff, using appropriate documentation. Job Requirements: Good availability for work at times needed by the service, including evenings and weekends. Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professional boundaries. Demonstrated organisation skills. Experience in the provision of personal care. Understanding of the issues facing older people or people with a disability. Certificate III in Individual Support. Current Driver licence and own vehicle. Current CPR or First Aid Certificate. Current and satisfactory Police Record check.
