Job Description: We're looking for a talented creative to take on this role within the Marketing and Communications team. Be prepared to be relied upon by the organisation's leaders as an expert in communications design, publications and visual branding. Job Responsibilities: Identify design solutions and manage the production of high-quality print and electronic graphic design and artwork for a wide range of marketing projects and materials including, but not limited to – promotional and advertising (marketing and communication) materials, signage, event collateral, online & social media sites, press ads including, brochures, flyers, and other promotional material Produce graphic design work across the organisation to develop, maintain and enhance recognition of the Council brands. Positively influence the organisation’s corporate image through the implementation of corporate style guidelines, procedures and supporting materials such as templates and guidelines Provide creative design advice to help develop appropriate and innovative communication strategies to achieve Council objectives. Develop creative concepts for the effective marketing and communication of larger campaigns across the organisation. Support the Marketing and Communication Team to ensure all Rural City of Wangaratta marketing, communication and promotional material contribute to the cohesive branding and positive perception of the organisation and adhere to our style guides and standards. Job Requirements: Tertiary qualifications in Graphic Design or similar field; or equivalent industry experience. Significant experience developing a range of printed and digital material for a large corporate or government organisation Capacity to work in a high-volume, high-pressure customer service environment supported by excellent problem-solving and organisational skills. Significant industry experience and an excellent knowledge of design software packages including Adobe Indesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and Acrobat on Mac and PC platforms. Knowledge and understanding of marketing, public relations, and digital/social media principles. Demonstrated experience in website design and development. A sound knowledge of CRM systems is advantageous.
