Job Description: The role will be responsible for monitoring performance and increasing accountability for service delivery and Asset Custodian role of Councils Capital Works program in the asset categories of Road Infrastructure and Public Domain Infrastructure. The Infrastructure Programs coordinator will take charge in building strong relationships with the Major Projects team, Developers and Builders working in the LGA and other external resources to ensure civil assets are constructed to Council’s quality and design standards. Job Responsibilities: Be accountable for developing Council’s SAMP renewal programs, including scoping, budgeting and developing briefs for Council’s roads, parks, footpaths, street furniture, etc. Monitor the delivery of the Capital Works Program as the Asset Custodian for the asset classes of Road Infrastructure and Public Domain Infrastructure. Coordinate the Infrastructure Services development referral process. Work collaboratively with the Development Assessment team to achieve consistent and high-quality outcomes with in kind works in the public realm. Audit, identify and prioritise risk responsive action in the public domain; and create opportunities for cost reductions by identifying improvements and value engineering. To increase the awareness of the community and the need for compliance with Council’s Management Plans of functional and safe infrastructure through customer relationship management processes including email, verbal, formal correspondence and phone conversations. Job Requirements: Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering which satisfies eligibility requirements for Membership of Engineers Australia (Institution of Engineers Australia) and relevant experience. Demonstrated understanding in developing capital works renewal programs. Good verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively respond and liaise with community and business representatives, Councilors and Government Authorities Demonstrated experience in delivery of civil infrastructure construction and program management. Demonstrated understanding of the Development Application process, referral processes and engineering representation as a subject matter expert in the Land & Environment Court. Demonstrated contract management experience.
