Job Description:

The Generalist will serve as the internal and external face of TMS(HR) and will interface and liaison with teams in the fields of recruiting, leadership development, compensation, benefits, HRIS and legal.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provides local support and guidance to execute global programs
  • Responsible for engaging and consulting with operational or functional leaders on talent, leadership, people strategy, organizational development, rewards, and culture 1
  • The TMS Business Partner will support several cross functional teams and TMS processes including:
  • Ensures client understanding and compliance with applicable company policies and practices
  • Compensation and benefits
  • Provides excellent customer service to all Team Members by exemplifying our core value of customer obsession
  • Ensures all legal and employment postings are visible and current
  • Responsible for Team Members’ communication, education, and advice on all TMS programs and systems
  • Support learning and development initiatives, onboarding, and candidate assessments
  • Ensures compliance and proper application of all federal, state, and local laws, including FMLA, I-9, SOX, and FLSA
  • Partners with Global TMS teams on special projects and assignments

  • Team Member Relations
  • Applies data, evidence-based research benchmarks, and TMS business metrics to match business decisions 1
  • Performance Management, Talent Assessment, and Team Member Development
  • Recommends system and process improvements for related TMS functions
  • HRIS input and updates
  • Diversity and inclusion
  • Maintains and open-door policy for all Team Members
  • Builds consensus and resolves internal disputes on TMS policy and practice decisions

Job Requirements:

  • Understands and is able to apply parameters of labor issues including FMLA, ADA, HIPAA, and Leave of Absence
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Kronos, Workday, and other HRIS
  • Understands company Human Resources policies, practices, and expectations
  • Working knowledge of HRMS systems and programs
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local, Human Resources regulations, and how these affect and are applied within WFM 1
  • Strong understanding of Human Resources concepts, practices, programs, and methodologies
  • Knowledge of how people go through organizational change, change processes, change management best practice principles, methodologies, and tools

Qualification & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree + 2-4 years of relevant HR experience
  • An equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience
