Job Description: We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join our Infrastructure Services team. The Maintenance Engineer will lead, motivate and coach the Roads and Drainage Maintenance teams to ensure safety and quality outcomes are achieved and manage Council resources to deliver on the programs, including staff rostering, contractor contributions, plant allocation and material acquisition and disposal. Job Requirements: Proven capability in delivering efficient and effective construction and maintenance services, to agreed levels of service whilst managing customer expectations and demonstrated ability in managing risk and applying Workplace Health and Safety practices using safe systems of work is essential. You will hold tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering and previous Local Government experience in the construction and maintenance of roads and related facilities and stormwater drainage. You will have experience in developing forward works programs, project management, contract management for civil works, community consultation, project scoping and quantity surveying. Strong communication, negotiation and problem resolution skills coupled with your flexibility to meet changing demands and manage workloads will ensure your success.
